If my caluclations are correct, it was 4337 years ago that T'angun, the offspring of the deity Hwanung and a bear-turned-woman, was born. He is acknowledged in both North and South Korea as the father of Korea and the Korean people. It has been a wild ride. Happy Birthday Korea!
