"COREA" VS. "KOREA"

Kushibo weighs in on this never-ending debate (and has some interesting visuals). For me the kicker has always been that the official Japanese name for "Korea" wasn't "Korea," but "Chosen."

In the Japanese junior high school text that I'm using for reading practice, they still use Chosen when discussing the colonial period. The book was published in the mid-1990s.
